ikuki

Let's begin here to make life easier - Ikuki is not japanese. In fact is isn't anything. It isn't a word.  It was simply invented for it's asthetics and it is pronounced Aye-Koo-Key. Now you know!

Ikuki is/are an alt rock project initiated in 2025.   Here we are at the beginning of something exciting that will grow and evolve and end up who knows where.

At this time we are a mere acorn but you know what they say about those.  'Step on an acorn bare foot and it really hurts'.   No, wait,  that's not it!  Errm you know, from small acorns, oak trees grow like big MFs.   So as long as we get well fed we should grow up to produce something big - unless we chose the wrong seed and we turn out to be a bonsai.

A few tracks have been released already through 2025 and work is now progressing on the first album due, hopefully, for release later 2026 or early 27.  After that, maybe a few live shows will be nice.  

With influences coming from such diverse artists as Faun, Nightwish, Muse, Waren Zevon, Leonard Cohen and so many others that we are too lazy to list (or too embarrassed), experiments will happen.

Let's have some fun and make a load of noise.
